The Chelsea players not on international duty have returned to Cobham training ground with over one week until their Premier League clash against Tottenham. Enzo Maresca was able to give a small section of his squad some time off with the March international break taking the priority.
A 1-0 defeat to Arsenal came before the two-week pause but Chelsea are still in a strong position to qualify for next season's Champions League. Cole Palmer was absent from that game due to injury but there is hope he can overcome that to feature against Tottenham next Thursday.
Jadon Sancho is another who has been in the headlines after it was revealed the Blues will have to pay Manchester United £5 million to not sign him permanently once his loan has concluded.
Others out to prove a point in the final portion of the season is Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile with both having recently returned from injury.
With that being said, football.london has taken a look at all the important things spotted from the latest set of Chelsea training images even though only a few players feature.
Palmer injury update
Unsurprisingly, Palmer was not captured in any of the photos uploaded to the club's official website. Considering Chelsea will likely have another seven sessions before their next game, there is no real need to rush Palmer back into training.
If he can be passed fit, the time off will hopefully prove key for Palmer after a challenging few weeks in a Chelsea shirt with the attacking midfielder having not scored since the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth back in January.
Sancho response
A significant amount of criticism has been sent in the direction of Sancho lately with some disappointing displays for Chelsea arriving.
The 24-year-old is now at a major crossroads in what could potentially be a short Chelsea career with the return of Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke likely to see his minutes reduced.
From the pictures in training however, Sancho looked sharp and focused with it likely the on-loan Manchester United winger is out to prove a point.
Lavia progress
Lavia's return to the fold arguably came at the perfect time with the Belgium international allowed further weeks to build up his fitness.
In Chelsea training on Monday, the midfielder was full of smiles as he hopes to make his first league start since mid-January.
His first half display in the reverse fixture was particularly strong and Maresca will be hoping he can have a similar impact if selected.
