The Minnesota Timberwolves did not exorcize their demons, as they lost to the Indiana Pacers again. This was not as close as the previous game, as they lost this one 119 to 103.
It is their second loss to the Pacers in a week, which also hurts their goals of reaching the Playoffs. The loss puts them in a tough spot because the Warriors and Clippers have the advantage in the Playoff hunt.
The first half of this game was decent because Minnesota was only down 54 to 48. Unfortunately, the Timberwolves' struggles caught up to them in the second half, as they got dominated, especially in the third quarter. They got outscored 41 to 25 in the third, which led them to play catch-up until the game finished.
It was an impressive victory for the Pacers, as Tyrese Haliburton earned a 24-point and 11-assist double-double while Obi Toppin continued his blistering form with 20 points after the superb performance a week earlier. For Minnesota, Naz Reid led the team in scoring with 20 points, while the rest struggled even if Anthony Edwards scored 17 points.

Another Disappointing Defeat For The Timberwolves
After winning eight straight games, Minnesota has lost three of its last four games. Two of them were quite winnable, which makes their place in the standings sting even more because they could have leap-frogged the Warriors and Clippers.
A standout statistic from this game was Edwards' struggles from three-point range. He has been excellent, shooting 38.5% from long range, but this game saw him make only one out of his 11 attempts. This can be linked to his thumb injury, which clearly bothered him.
Admirable for Ant to try to play hurt. But that 1-11 from 3 was ROUGH. Add to it Donte's struggles, NAW being 2-7 and Jaden with just 6 points and 1 rebound. Wolves look like a team that needs a break.

Julius Randle did not have the best game, only logging 24 minutes. He scored nine points and was nearly anonymous due to his lack of minutes and production.
Rudy Gobert had a decent game with a strong double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds. Unfortunately, the Pacers offense was firing on all cylinders, with six players scoring in double figures.
The Timberwolves Must Reset And Beat The Suns
Now that Minnesota has suffered another loss, they have some time to think about it. They won't be playing until Friday night against the Phoenix Suns, which leaves more room for improvement for the team.
Head coach Chris Finch must tell his team to get some rest, but they should also be ready to work on their game during some practices during the four-day interval.
This mini-break will help them reset and find out what worked during the eight-game winning streak. The team is much better than their record suggests, but they must be locked in to win the games.
