Spurs Make Stephon Castle Announcement Ahead of Pistons Game

The Detroit Pistons will be at home at Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday as they take on the San Antonio Spurs in an interconference matchup.

Detroit enters Tuesday's game having won five of their last 10 games and are coming off a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday despite being without their star pint guard Cade Cunningham.

They will now look to pick up their second consecutive victory over the Spurs on Tuesday who are amid a three-game winning streak and have won five of their last 10 contests.

Ahead of Tuesday's game, the Spurs made a major announcement regarding the availability of their rookie guard Stephon Castle.

San Antonio has listed Castle as questionable due to right knee hypertension and the Spurs may elect to sit him with their season basically already over.

If Castle is sidelined it would be a massive blow for the Spurs as he has turned into their best player over the last month and is the clear frontrunner to win the Rookie of the Year award.

Of course, the Spurs are already without their superstar duo of Victor Wembanyama and De'Aaron Fox who will both be sidelined for the rest of the season.

San Antonio has also ruled out Charles Bassey due to a knee injury.

If Castle is out, expect Blake Wesley and Malaki Branham to see a larger role and they will need Chris Paul, Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell and Harrison Barnes to carry the load on the offensive end.

For the Pistons, they may also be without their star player in Cunningham once again as he has been listed as questionable with a calf injury.

Detroit has also listed Tim Hardaway Jr. as questionable with an ankle injury and Jaden Ivery has been ruled out as he continues to recover from a broken leg.

Fans can catch Tuesday's matchup between the Spurs and Pistons at 7:00 p.m. EST.
