Boston Celtics injury report: Jaylen Brown upgraded for Kings game

The Celtics got some positive news ahead of Monday’s game against the Kings in Sacramento. Jaylen Brown is back into the lineup after missing the past three games due to a bone bruise in right knee.

Brown was originally questionable ahead of the game but was upgraded to available. Brown hasn’t played since the March 15 win over the Nets, so him back in the lineup is a solid sign the knee issue isn’t serious.

Sam Hauser was downgraded from questionable to out with low back stiffness. Hauser joins Al Horford (toe) and Xavier Tillman (knee) as out for Monday’s game.

That means the Celtics will be relatively healthy as they face the Kings. They were without three starters in Sunday’s win over Portland, leading to the bench players seeing plenty of minutes. But all three of those starters — Brown, Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday — are good to play in Monday’s game.

Despite missing guys, the Celtics continue to rack up victories as they’re on a five-game win streak. The Kings game is one of the more difficult games for the rest of the season as Sacramento is currently .500 on the season. The C’s have played sub-.500 teams in their recent games, which is why they’ve been resting guys.
