POSTGAME 9
With Quentin Grimes having the night off for rest, joining stars Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey on the bench, the Sixers’ lack of offensive firepower was too much to overcome as they fell to the New Orleans Pelicans in a game that could prove crucial when the lottery rolls around on May 12th. With the win the Pelicans (20-53), who have the 4th worst record in the league, now have just three fewer wins than the 76ers (23-49), who currently occupy the 5th spot in the reverse standings. The Sixers were also helped out by Toronto (25-47), who picked up a big win to put some space between themselves and the Sixers.
