NBA Reacts to Big Russell Westbrook News

Russell Westbrook continues to cement himself as an all-time great, currently competing for an NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets.

On Monday, Westbrook and the Nuggets went head-to-head against the Chicago Bulls.

During the matchup against the Bulls, Westbrook entered a prestigious club, moving into 20th on the league's all-time scoring list.

Westbrook passed NBA legend Kevin Garnett, who's widely known for his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics, with many considering the "Big Ticket" one of the greatest power forwards of all time.

When Westbrook passed Garnett, the NBA posted that the Nuggets guard had officially recorded 26,072 points in his career.

He now sits behind Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek for the No. 19 slot on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

So far this season, Westbrook has averaged 13.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He's currently playing in his first season with the Nuggets.

Before his time in Denver, Westbrook played 11 seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, one season with the Houston Rockets, one season with the Washington Wizards, two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Westbrook and the Nuggets will now look to compete for an NBA title, soon heading into the playoffs. They're led by MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and a couple of other contributors, such as Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon, who have already helped Denver win a championship.
