Man Utd handed Victor Osimhen boost
Manchester United's hopes of luring Victor Osimhen to Old Trafford this summer have been boosted by Paris Saint-Germain dropping out of the race for his signature, according to reports.
Ruben Amorim is set to prioritise the arrival of a new striker to ease the goalscoring burden on Rasmus Hojlund after an attack-wide toothless season.
Osimhen has been among the strikers linked with the Red Devils ahead of his permanent Napoli exit at the end of the campaign.
And Sky Sport report that Amorim's chances have improved by Paris Saint-Germain opting against reigniting their interest in the 26-year-old.
It's claimed that PSG boss Luis Enrique isn't convinced by Osimhen, who has scored 26 goals in 30 appearances on loan at Galatasaray this term.
The report adds that United could take advantage, having closely monitored the Nigeria international for years, and trigger his £63million release clause.
Man Utd make Patrick Dorgu change
In Amorim's current squad, there has been a noticeable change regarding January signing Patrick Dorgu in recent weeks.
Eagle-eyed supporters have pointed out that the 20-year-old left-wing-back was now listed as Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu on United's website and official team sheets.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the change came after a request from Dorgu's family to reflect their Nigerian heritage and religious beliefs.
The name Chinazaekpere is said to roughly translate to 'God answers prayers' in Igbo.
Dorgu has made six appearances for United since arriving in a deal worth an initial £25m that could rise to £29m.
He will return from a three-match ban when Amorim's side are back in action at Nottingham Forest next week.
Chelsea signal Jadon Sancho plan
Suggestions that Chelsea could pull out of their £25m obligation to buy Jadon Sancho from United this summer have intensified in recent weeks.
The 24-year-old winger is on loan at Stamford Bridge and was expected to join permanently at the end of the season.
However, it recently emerged that Chelsea have an option to terminate their agreement with United if they pay £5m.
Given Sancho has struggled to impress in West London, an expectation of his surprise return to Manchester is looming larger.
But ESPN report that Chelsea have played down talk of the Englishman leaving the club to go back to United, who are said to be relaxed about the situation.
It's claimed that the Blues signing Sancho on a permanent deal remains the most likely outcome.
