Jarrad Branthwaite has been a stalwart at the back throughout his Everton tenure but his long-term future at Goodison Park is far from guaranteed.
The 22-year-old has started in every Premier League game for Everton since 9 November, playing a vital role in the team avoiding a late relegation battle this season.
David Moyes has put his trust in Branthwaite by featuring him in the heart of his defence, with Everton currently undefeated in their last nine Premier League fixtures.
The Merseyside giants have kept two clean sheets during that period and Branthwaite has even registered an assist among those games as he has proven he can offer a threat at the other end of the pitch too.
His impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed within the Premier League as Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in him, but now Real Madrid are also monitoring the defender.

Bryan King believes the Toffees will offer Branthwaite a £150,000 per week contract to keep him at the club, but while that would make him the highest-paid player in the squad it doesn’t guarantee he will sign it.

Jarrad Branthwaite will be a hot topic again in the summer transfer window
Branthwaite is currently under contract at Everton until 2027, which would allow Moyes to build around him for the foreseeable future if they wanted.
Joe Thomas of the Liverpool Echo has speculated that Everton will have to seriously consider that contract during the summer transfer window, when Branthwaite is expected to be the focus of speculation once again.

Everton have turned down significant offers for Branthwaite in the past, but a sale could significantly bolster their financial situation in regards to lingering PSR issues.
Moyes wasn’t sold on the idea of returning to the Toffees based on being a selling club, but a firm decision will need to be made so everyone knows where they stand.
The Everton boss is aware that a considerable offer would be accepted by the club this time around, even if that means weakening the starting lineup.

Jarrad Branthwaite’s England snub could play a factor
Branthwaite might be someone who has been on the receiving end of lots of hype in recent years, but that wasn’t enough for Thomas Tuchel to consider him in his first England squad.
The Three Lions boss snubbed Branthwaite in favour of other options, including handing a first cap to Newcastle United’s Dan Burn.
Branthwaite is now considering his Everton future because of that as he wants to be involved at an international level for England, and playing for a club fighting at the top end of the Premier League table could aid that goal.
