Aston Villa trio Ezri Konsa, Morgan Rogers and Marcus Rashford have reacted to Thomas Tuchel’s 100 percent start as England head coach.

All three players started the Three Lions’ 3-0 World Cup qualifier win over Latvia at Wembley on Monday night, having all also played in their 2-0 victory over Albania last Friday night.

They will now return to Villa ahead of their return to action, first in the FA Cup quarter-finals against Championship side Preston on Sunday and then in the Premier League and Champions League.

On-loan Rashford started both matches under Tuchel and posting on Instagram after the final whistle against Latvia, he said: “2 wins in 2 games. Thank you for the support.”

After coming on as a sub against Albania, Rogers made his first Three Lions’ start against Latvia and he also posted on Instagram, saying: “First England start. Great way to start the new era!”

Konsa started both matches and he said on Instagram: “Signing out for now, England.”

Goals from Reece James, Harry Kane and Eberechi Eze led to the 3-0 win over Latvia and Tuchel believed he saw improvement on England’s win over Albania in his first match in charge last week, saying he was happy with the attitude, energy and desire of the players.

He said: “It was not an easy match, we had to unlock it, but there were a lot of good things – another clean sheet and we created a lot of chances from set-pieces.

“OK, we needed a free-kick to unlock it, but in general I’m happy with the attitude and energy and desire to do the stuff that we want.”
