‘My focus’: What Fabio Silva just said about his Wolves future gives Vitor Pereira a crucial…

The summer transfer window will be a crucial time for Wolves as they look to invest in their squad and resolve the futures of several stars.

In terms of outgoings, Matheus Cunha will leave Wolves as several clubs battle to trigger his £62.5 million release clause.

The Brazilian superstar deserves his move to a big club after hitting double figures for goals in consecutive campaigns, including 15 in all competitions this term.

Vitor Pereira could also field interest from some of his other key players, including Andre, Joao Gomes and Rayan Ait-Nouri, who is already wanted by Tottenham.

The same goes for in-form striker Fabio Silva, with the Portuguese gem now giving an update on his Wolves future.

Fabio Silva shares update on Wolves future

Silva has flopped at Wolves since completing a club-record transfer to Molineux as an 18-year-old in 2020.

A return of just five goals in 72 appearances was more than enough to regret their investment, although the 22-year-old is currently enjoying a fruitful spell in La Liga.

Las Palmas signed Silva on loan in the summer transfer window and the centre-forward has plundered eight goals in 20 appearances.

Despite this solid return, Molineux News exclusively revealed that Silva is likely to leave Wolves after returning from his time in Spain, with the striker now providing an update.

“I cannot answer that because my focus now is to be in Las Palmas,” Silva said on his future via the E&S after scoring for Portugal under-21s against England at the Hawthorns.

“We have so much there to maintain in the first division in Spain and that is my focus. Also to help Portugal with the Euros and after that we have time.”

What sort of fee could Wolves command for Silva

Some supporters have a split opinion on what the club should do with the Portuguese striker, with many suggesting he should finally be sold while others think he could stay.

Since Pereira has yet to provide an update on the forward, it’s hard to see whether he could stay or not, and only time will tell.

But, as the Wolves loanee sees his contract expire in 2026, this summer could be their final chance to land a fee for Silva before they risk losing him on a free transfer.

Frustratingly, the Wanderers will never recoup the full £35 million they paid for him but a valuation between the £15 million – £20 million mark seems about right.

Silva has shown promise out on loan in La Liga, and as the forward is still only 22, there is time for him to fulfil his huge potential.
