A tribute to Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton was spotting during WWE Raw on Monday night.
The Brazil international is still the talk of the Toon after Newcastle United won the Carabao Cup final.
Joelinton was Newcastle’s best player at Wembley, putting in a commanding performance against Liverpool to ensure the Magpies’ trophy drought came to an end.
While Eddie Howe and his players celebrate and train in Dubai, Joelinton is on international duty with Brazil.
However, eagle-eyed Newcastle United fans were shocked to see a tribute to big Joe during the latest episode of WWE Raw.

Joelinton sign spotted during John Cena appearance on Raw
WWE’s flagship show was broadcast from Glasgow on Monday night, as the build-up towards WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas continued.
The show, which is broadcast on Netflix, started with John Cena addressing the crowd to a chorus of boos, after he recently went from being a good guy to a bad guy.
But as Cena spoke into the microphone, a fan held up a sign that said ‘I believe in Joelinton’ alongside a Newcastle United shirt from the 2022/23 season.

The meaning behind the Joelinton sign at Raw
The worlds of football and WWE often collide, especially when the latter is in Europe.
Also during Monday’s episode of Raw, two fans in the front row were wearing Aston Villa and Birmingham City shirts, while Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal was in attendance for a recent Smackdown show in Barcelona.
But what is the meaning behind the Joelinton sign? While Newcastle United fans obviously believe in Joelinton, there is a reason this was displayed at a wrestling event.
The initial sign reads ‘I believe in Joe Hendry’, but Hendry is crossed out and replaced with ‘linton’.
Joe Hendry is a Scottish wrestler, whose theme song ‘I believe in Joe Hendry’ went viral in 2024. It even entered the Official Charts, peaking at number four in the Official Download Chart in May 2024.
The 36-year-old has become insanely popular, recently appearing in the Royal Rumble, which is one of WWE’s most famous events.
Now his catchphrase has been turned into a Joelinton tribute, but do not expect Toon fans to be chanting ‘I believe in Joelinton’ next time he is in action at St James’ Park.
