Wolves striker Fabio Silva was in action for the Portugal U21s last night.
The international break is into its second week, and players from Wolves are still looking to get some minutes under their belts.
With Premier League football not returning until the weekend after this, it’s important for players to keep themselves ticking over.
Last night, Portugal U21s took on England, with Fabio Silva starting up top and as captain.
Wolves duo Rodrigo Gomes and Carlos Forbs were both on the bench.
England ended up winning the game, but Silva made an impact – which actually wasn’t to the liking of the some in attendance.

It has been a good season for Silva after he left Wolves on transfer deadline day.
The star joined Las Palmas in La Liga, and the hope for Wolves officials is that he can score as many goals as possible ahead of the 2025 summer window.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Silva has done well so far, scoring eight goals in 21 games.
But it was back to international duty for Silva last night, and the star managed to score against England in a friendly match.
The game took place at the Hawthorns, home of Wolves’ arch enemies West Bromwich Albion – and Silva managed to get himself on the scoresheet.
That means Silva has now scored two goals in two games at the Hawthorns, which delighted Wolves fans on social media last night. He previously struck for Wolves in a clash with West Brom back in 2021.
With the game being at Albion’s home, there were inevitably some West Brom fans in the 15,000-strong crowd last night who were fully aware of Silva’s links to Wolves, and they jeered the striker according to reporter Jonny Drury.
Drury stated in his match report that Silva – who also spoke about his future after the game – was booed even before his goal, when he went close to scoring. He added that the youngster was the ‘pantomime villain’ of the evening.
Carlos Forbs also scores for Portugal U21s
Portugal ended up losing the game 4-2, but it was a positive night for Wolves in that Carlos Forbs also got on the scoresheet.
The winger has been starved of minutes this season, and looks like he will not turn his loan move to Wolves permanent.
The 21-year-old collected the ball on the edge of the box, before getting by a couple of defenders and finishing.
Hopefully that will boost his confidence, and he can now go back to Wolves and make an impression in front of Pereira.
That said, Pereira recently admitted that Forbs wasn’t comfortable defending, which may make it hard for him to play much.
