Wolves winger Pablo Sarabia has been the subject of intense transfer speculation before the 2024/25 campaign draws to a close.
Sarabia sees his contract expire in 2025, and he isn’t the only one, as captain Nelson Semedo is set to decide on his future in the coming months.
While Vitor Pereira wants to keep Semedo, seeing him as a vital player for Wolves, there hasn’t been much – if anything – mentioned on the future of Sarabia.
The 32-year-old is likely to leave Molineux this summer due to his high wages, with Celta Vigo and Sevilla interested in Sarabia.
But whilst a return to Spain is on the cards for the fleet-footed winger, he could also be tempted to leave by a lucrative offer.

Pablo Sarabia could turn down lucrative salary
According to La Razon, clubs from Saudi Arabia and the MLS are prepared to offer Sarabia a ‘dizzying salary’ to snub a move to his home country.
The report claims that the former PSG man is ‘prioritising’ a return to Spain to give himself a slim chance of making the 2026 World Cup squad and could therefore turn down the offer.
Considering the level of talent ahead of him, including wonderkid Lamine Yamal and speedster Nico Williams, Sarabia’s hopes of representing his country are nothing more than a pipe dream.

But despite his huge ambition, the pending offers of lucrative wages at least give him something to think about, as moving to Saudi could set him up for life.
Indeed, the level of money they’re willing to offer is something no other club on the planet is willing to match, especially for a player turning 33 in May.
Sarabia has experienced a decline at Wolves
Last season, Sarabia was an integral part of Gary O’Neil’s plans, featuring 30 times in the Premier League while scoring four and assisting seven.
The Wolves metronome was regularly in the starting lineup and was enjoying his football, suggesting he was in the ‘best moment’ of his career.
Speaking in March 2024, he told Wolves official: “I don’t feel old because, although I may be 31 years old, I think I am in a very good stage of my life. I think it may be the best moment of my career. There is a big age difference, but I think we all try to bring that experience and that youth that is so necessary to any team.”
Pablo Sarabia’s Premier League stats 2023/24 2024/25
Appearances 30 15
Goals 4 1
Assists 7 1
In 2024/25, meanwhile, the Spaniard has shown glimpses of his magic but two goal involvements in 15 league matches demonstrates his decline in a Wolves shirt.
Sarabia’s future has split opinion among fans but ultimately, most agree that he should be released in the summer after two years at Molineux.
