This has sparked a response from The FA who have reassured the player and club this is not the case.

Tuchel’s decision was made purely through his own choice and does not have anything to do with what club the 23-year-old is playing for.

Branthwaite has admitted he wants to win trophies in his career, which may only fuel the speculation surrounding his future.

Everton are keen to reward Branthwaite with a new contract

Branthwaite has loved working under Moyes since January and the 61-year-old has the defender keen to sign a new deal.

Everton are receiving interest in the 23-year-old ahead of the summer, with Manchester United keen to sign Branthwaite for Ruben Amorim.

But the Toffees are not looking to offload their prised defender just yet, but the Toffees hold all the cards in any situation.

With two years remaining on his current deal, Everton’s valuation of Branthwaite remains strong even if the player does refuse the new contract offered.

England fans want to see Branthwaite called up after Burn’s debut against Armando Broja and Albania last week.

The defender now has just a couple of months to earn himself a spot in the squad for June’s friendlies.
