An Amazon Spring Sale bargain! This five-star Samsung TV has dropped to its lowest-ever price

If you're in the market for a 55-inch QLED TV, we're about to tell you about a deal that'll ensure you won't have to break the bank to secure this set.

In Amazon's Big Spring Sale, the Samsung mid-range Q80D QLED TV has dropped to its lowest ever price and we're seriously impressed.

For just £636 at Amazon, you can pick up the five-star set for a serious, over-£350 saving.

Mere weeks ago, this TV would've cost you £684 on Amazon. But don't be hubristic, deals like this don't come around very often and if you're waiting for an even lower price, you'll surely be left hard done by.

With any Amazon sale, these deals won't stick around for long. So hurry and secure a jaw-droppingly low price on this five-star Samsung set before it pops back up to a higher price.

Yes, Samsung's Q80D QLED TV doesn't enjoy the same brand-loving Mini LEDs that its sets have used, but it's certainly a lot more affordable because of it.

Have no fear though, the regular-sized LEDs use a 'local dimming' system across 100 separate zones to light up its screen.

When it comes to picture, it's certainly an impressive offering from such a mid-range set, especially with its capabilities of delivering rich, dark black tones that would usually only be possible after spending a lot more money.

And feature-wise, it holds an impressive spec sheet.

There's the VA LCD panel that works hard on contrast, HDMI 2.1 ports with support for 4K/120Hz gaming, VRR and ALLM, and if you're an avid watcher of streaming platforms, then the Tizen OS system has a wide array on offer.

At its original price of £999, it was already competitively low. But with that price, there are some features lacking (there's no Dolby Vision support, for example), and there's an increasingly competitive market for it to contend with.

But that didn't stop us saying in our Samsung Q80D review:

"The Q80D delivers a surprisingly healthy chunk of the picture quality we've come to expect from Samsung's high-end TVs at a much lower price. It also sounds unexpectedly good for a Samsung TV, and is one of the best gaming TVs we've seen for less than £1,000."

And it's seriously less than £1000 right now. For just £636 at Amazon, it's the lowest ever price we've seen for this Samsung TV. It's a crazy low price and we'd be crazy not to tell you about it.
