“I hate journalists” – Brighton man takes aim at press during international duty, asked about how much football he…

Yasin Ayari is having a breakout season with Brighton so far.

The Swede has played 29 times in all competitions and has shown enough versatility to not just play in midfield, but also on the flanks.

His rise in stature has attracted attention from Sweden, who have seen the 21-year-old feature prominently in their past few games. Ayari played 45 minutes in their loss to Luxembourg and after the game, he was asked a host of questions by the press.

[Fotbollskanalen](https://www.fotbollskanalen.se/sverige/har-tar-ayari-fram-motorsagen-jag-hatar-journalister/) have taken a look at one of his interviews and the Brighton midfielder was asked whether he watches other major leagues.

He said, giving a rather brief answer: _“I watch football every day.”_

The journalist proceeded to ask about whether he watches the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 and Ayari responded:

_“All those leagues.”_

A more detailed answer arrived when the talent was asked about how he manages to watch so much football.

He said: _“Too much. I only watch football. You can learn from everything. Tactically, how certain players solve certain situations and so on. All those little things.”_

When asked about whether he could have a future as a TV pundit, Ayari responded: _“Absolutely not. Absolutely not. Absolutely not.”_

He was asked the reason for that and the Seagulls star said, promptly: _“I hate journalists.”_

While the interview is likely to catch a fair amount of attention in Sweden because of Ayari’s bluntness, it came after a surprise loss to Luxermbourg.

The ex-AIK player has been [linked](https://sportwitness.co.uk/brighton-man-unlikley-to-be-targeted-by-club-in-summer-several-reasons-against-transfer-despite-claims/) with a Brighton exit in the past few weeks and clubs in Germany and Italy have emerged as potential destinations.

So perhaps the quizzing during the interview was largely to get an indirect answer about his future at the Amex.
