Manchester City fans are expecting big things this summer after a poor season – and the club apparently have eyes on an extremely talented young player.
2024/25 has been a real struggle of a season for Manchester City.
At the moment, all hope of another Premier League title is gone, and Pep Guardiola now faces a real challenge to secure Champions League football for next season.
It is clear that the squad needs rebuilding, and work already started on that in January, with four new players arriving.
As many as seven senior players could leave Manchester City this summer, meaning plenty will be coming in.
And apparently, City are now showing interest in Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City are ‘showing the most concrete interest’ in Tyler Dibling, along with Tottenham Hotspur.
Dibling has massively impressed in a very poor Southampton team this season.
It is widely expected that he will leave the club this summer as the Saints drop into the Championship.
It will just be a question of which club wins the race for him, with interest also coming from RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich – hence German reporter Plettenberg reporting the news.

Bayern directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund hold Dibling in very high regard. But they are yet to make contact with the player’s camp.
Tyler Dibling style of play and Cole Palmer comparison
Dibling is a very versatile player, who can play anywhere across the front three and also as an attacking midfielder.
According to Football Talent Scout, he is a ‘creative player with excellent technique on the ball, mobility, acceleration skills, fast direction shifts, short-dribbling, and good short-mid through passing ability.
He also possesses ‘magnificent footwork in tight spaces’.
Previously, in an assessment that is sure to interest City fans, Dibling has actually been compared to former star Cole Palmer.

With Palmer having flourished after leaving the Etihad Stadium, City fans would likely love to have a player who is similar to him join the club this summer.
Given the speculation about Jack Grealish’s future, there may well be a good chance of the club pushing for Dibling, who has also been compared to the City number 10.
