Joe Hart makes a fresh claim about Pep Guardiola after falling out with him at Manchester City

Joe Hart suddenly saw his Manchester City career fall apart in 2016 once Pep Guardiola replaced Manuel Pellegrini.

The man from Shrewsbury – who racked up 348 appearances in total for Manchester City – was immediately replaced by Claudio Bravo once the Spaniard took the reins at the Etihad Stadium, starting the first three games of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign on the bench before being loaned to Torino.

It was a swift fall from grace for the 37-year-old, who had only just finished playing as England No.1 at UEFA EURO 2016 with a status as one of Europe’s best goalkeepers.

Now – speaking to TNT Sports on TikTok – Joe Hart has made a new claim about Pep Guardiola.

The Englishman – now retired – was asked by TNT Sports to select who he feels is the best manager on the planet right now.

It would have been easy for Hart – who Lionel Messi admires – to dismiss Guardiola given what happened between them, but the Shrewsbury Town academy graduate admirably opted to name the Manchester City boss.

Hart also chose Mohamed Salah as the best in the Premier League and the entire world.

What has Joe Hart said about his feud with Pep Guardiola?

Hart recently went into more detail on what Guardiola said to him exactly when speaking on the Tales, Tears & Trophies Podcast for beIN SPORTS.

The man with 75 caps for England revealed: “He (Guardiola) just said, I need to bring someone in who I know can play the game (with the ball at their feet). If you want to stay, and you want me to teach you, and help you, then we can do that, but it will be away from training and it will take time. Basically, I think it’s a good idea you leave, because you’re not going to play for me, and I’m going to bring someone in who can.”

Hart must have been seething to see Bravo struggle in the No.1 role – although Guardiola got what he needed in Ederson, a man who impressively boasts six assists in the Premier League thanks to his remarkable technique with the ball at his feet.
