Stunning pictures reveal Chelsea Earl's Court stadium dream as AI predicts similar£2bn Man Utd plan

Todd Boehly has been speaking about Chelsea 's plans for a new stadium this week. In an interview with Bloomberg, the Chelsea co-owner admitted there may be conflict amongst the ownership group about what to do moving forward.

"We have to think about long-term, what we're trying to accomplish," he said when asked about a rift between himself and Behdad Eghbali, the co-founder of Clearlake. "There's a big stadium development opportunity that we have to flesh out.

"That's going to be where we are either aligned or we ultimately decide to go different ways. What has been written and what has been talked about is much more drama than what has actually happened."

Earl's Court is a site that has long been mooted as a potential destination for Chelsea to relocate to if they do not end up redeveloping their current Stamford Bridge home. football.london understands at this stage, all options remain on the table for Chelsea with a final decision yet to be made.

In September 2024, the Earl’s Court Development Company (ECDC), the company managing a multi-billion pound redevelopment project on the land not too far from Stamford Bridge, insisted that there is no plan for Chelsea to relocate, however.

An official ECDC statement read: "There is no plan within our plans for Chelsea FC to relocate to the Earl’s Court site."

That does not mean plans could not change and that Chelsea could not move to Earl's Court in the future. And OLBG.com have used AI to look at what a new stadium at Earl's Court could look like for Chelsea.

The AI came up with a 63,000-seater stadium - more than 20,000 more than the current capacity at Stamford Bridge and used design inspiration from the proposed Stamford Bridge rebuild that used inspiration from the gothic architecture of Westminster Abbey’s sculpted brick piers.

Stadium plans could also include a park area and surrounding shops and restaurants to boost yearly attendances, with the stunning design matching the best the league has to offer.

It is worth noting, however, that football.london got in touch with ECDC last month and an associate told us the following: "You may note that a planning application has gone into both boroughs for a 7.5 million sq. ft mixed use scheme that does not include a football stadium."

The Chelsea redevelopment plan comes just weeks after Manchester United announced plans for a new £2billion 100,000-seater stadium.
