Latest updates regarding Martin Zubimendi amidst Arsenal’s deal of £51 million and Real Madrid’s decision.
Martin Zubimendi is a top target this summer
Real Madrid is planning to join in on **Arsenal**‘s in race for Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi. His future at Real Sociedad is uncertain.
Martin nearly switched to Liverpool last summer only to back out at the last minute. He has since been tipped to potentially join Arsenal. He would plug the midfield gaps left. As Thomas Partey and Jorginho may need to be replaced heading into next season. The duo’s respective contracts are running out.
He was not being ready to leave Real last summer. But it now seems he is willing to take the next step in his career. And it is no surprise that he is now drawing interest.
🚨 Real Madrid are preparing to hijack Arsenal's move to sign Martin Zubimendi as part of a summer rebuild that would also include Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen.

The midfielder has had a number of impressive spells with the La Liga side for a number of years. And contributed to Spain’s Euro 2024 campaign. The European football expert David Ornstein in January claimed Arsenal had all-but agreed a deal. The deal could be worth around £51 million for the midfielder.
However, according to Diario AS, Real Madrid are now excited about the prospect of bringing in more Spanish talent to their team.
Real also join the race to sign the midfielder
Carlo Ancelotti’s club has five home nation first-team players already on their books. And signing another one would take it to the eight needed by the 2025/2026 season.
Not only that, but the Spaniard would also strengthen Real Madrid’s squad. Although, their midfield already has many stars in that position right now.
