There is a huge doubt about Jadon Sancho’s future at Chelsea. The player is currently on loan at West London from Man United. Amidst these, the situation has now taken a major twist.
Sancho joined Man United as a promising youngster. He was superb as Borussia Dortmund which forced Red Devils to pay a hefty transfer fee. But, the deal did worked out neither for player nor for the club. As a result, Sancho started falling down the pecking order.
Later, Sancho was involved in fall-out with then United boss Erik Ten Hag. This caused him to spend six months on bench before being sent on loan in January 2024. He rejoined Dortmund and looked very good for them once again.
Sancho returned to United who had no intention to keep him. But, the Red Devils were unable to find a permanent exit route for Sancho. Lastly, they opted to send him on a season-long loan at Chelsea. The 25 year old had a good start to his Chelsea career but he was once again hit by dip in the form.
Chelsea to part ways with Sancho in summer?
The Blues will need to pay United £25 million as they have an obligation to buy Sancho this summer. However, they also have another clause will will require them to pay £5 million as penalty fee in order to send Sancho back to United.
Chelsea are not impressed with Sancho and hence can send him back. In addition, they can make his transfer permanent and then quickly sell him in summer itself. As for United, there is surely no future for Sancho.
Jadon Sancho eyes Bundesliga return
According to BILD, Sancho has submitted a transfer request to his management to secure him a move to Dortmund. The 25 year old is keen to return to Bundesliga in oder to get his career back on track.
However, it will also depend on what Dortmund think of this situation. They will surely have opening at winger position as players like Jamie Gittens are likely to depart. But, they are set to miss UCL football and hence their summer budget can be very tight.
