Arsenal look to fend off interest in the 18-year-old from their Premier League rivals. They are aiming to keep their wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri for a long time.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are near to extending a new deal for the young attacking midfielder. He doesn’t turn 18 until March 2024 that will run until 2030.
A new contract of five-years will be a reward to the teenager. And recognise that he has now been accepted into the regular squad. He has been a regular since signing his first professional deal when he turned 17 in March.
It's hard to believe Ethan Nwaneri is only turning 18.
He made his senior debut two and a half years ago.
He's scored eight goals this season and become a key figure for Arsenal.

The right-winger made his senior debut at just 15. That was before he was formally promoted to the senior team at the start of this season. The injury to Bukayo Saka has given the youngster regular playing minutes.
The north London side now face the scenario of having their player on a contract for an expected and hoped future talent. While, unsurprisingly, they do not want to lose the player. That to with **Man City**‘s and **Chelsea**‘s previous interest.
Man City and Chelsea show interest in the teenager
There is almost no reason for Nwaneri to leave the his current club.
The Blues are gathering young talents for their future project. That means he could be certain of playing time under Enzo Marseca. Man City are a top team in the world. And if the youngster were to move to the Etihad Stadium, he’d likely win more silverware.
Still, the Gunners are on the up under Arteta. And the head coach has offered Ethan a clear path. Playing under Mikel looks like the best thing for his growth.
