The Dallas Mavericks got a dose of good news on Monday night because Anthony Davis was back on the court.
As noted by Hoop Central, Davis posted 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists during his team’s 120-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
After a nightmarish season they’d rather forget, Dallas fans are elated to see the return of Davis and are hoping he can stay healthy for the next few weeks.

Of course, many of the reactions online were about the Luka Doncic trade that landed Davis in Dallas.
People are still very upset about losing Doncic and it’ll be a long time before the team’s front office stops hearing about that.
We shouldn't of traded him for luka…

However, others are very happy to see Davis in uniform again and think he gives the team something to play for.
He certainly added a level of energy that helped the team compete harder against the Nets.
He’s so good glad he’s back because now they can have something to play for 🔥🔥🔥

There were some that wanted to see even more from Davis and they assumed he must have had a minutes restriction during his first game back.
Sure enough, head coach Jason Kidd did say that Davis’ minutes would be limited, allowing him to adjust to playing again.
He must be on minute restrictions

A lot of people think this could be coming at the perfect time.
The Mavericks have had an awful season, with losing Doncic and then suffering injury after injury.
They are on the verge of missing the Play-In Tournament, but Davis coming back could fire them up and help them secure their spot in the postseason.
Glad to see him back. That fan base needs some good things to happen!

Davis is working his way back to being 100 percent, but his return game looked very promising.
Now he just has to stay healthy and give the Mavericks something to believe in.
