Bombshell Dean Huijsen claim made with Chelsea interested in the Bournemouth star

19-year-old Bournemouth ace Dean Huijsen won't be with the Cherries next year according to his teammate.

The Spanish centre-back is experiencing his break-through season with Bournemouth since he moved to the Premier League from Juventus last summer. His loan spell with Roma from Juve in the 2023/24 campaign caught the eyes of Andoni Iraola who wisely snapped up the defender.

Now, after playing a crucial part in Bournemouth's current success, with the Cherries one win away from an FA Cup semi-final and fighting for a European spot in the Premier League, many big European sides are interested in Huijsen's signature.

One Premier League side who is said to be interested in the Spaniard is Enzo Maresca's Chelsea. Although a transfer move is pure speculation at the moment, Huijsen's Cherries teammate Justin Kluivert may have revealed more than he should of about the 19-year-old's future.

Speaking in an interview with MARCA, a Spanish sports newspaper, Kluivert said: "I know that next year he won't be with us." There is no doubt that the Dutchmen's words would have lit up the eyes of multiple clubs who are keeping an eye on Huijsen.

Despite the young defender having only just broken through the Premier League ranks, whichever club is able to convince him to move is going to face a hefty price tag. Huijsen is penned down on a six-year deal with Bournemouth with a release clause worth £50m, four times more than what the Cherries paid for the 19-year-old.

Liverpool and Real Madrid are two other sides who are keeping close tabs on Huijsen, however, a move to Chelsea could be suitable with the Blues already fostering such a young squad. His ability to play with both feet is likely to be something admired by Maresca.
