Manchester United’s 253rd academy graduate has been with England U18s over the past week.
Harry Amass‘ professional career began at the King Power Stadium just before the international break, and he has since been away with England at an U18 level.
Ruben Amorim made Amass his second academy graduate since taking charge of the club last November. The left wing-back joined Manchester United in 2023 from Watford.
It was a 21-minute cameo display, with Amass putting in a solid performance for United off the bench on his 18th birthday, which made it a day to remember.

Harry Amass makes an assist for England U18
After the euphoric feeling Amass surely had over a week ago, he will be itching to go again and will be hoping to make another appearance next Tuesday against Nottingham Forest.
But this week, he has had some international football to get through, and for the U18s on Tuesday, he starred in a 1-0 win for the Three Lions over Portugal U18.

Amass provided the assist for the sole goal, setting up Jesse Derry from a left-wing position. The 18-year-old slipped Derry through on goal where he checked back inside on his right foot and scored a brilliant goal.
United’s wing-back was dominant throughout as he lined out alongside Jack Fletcher, wearing the captain’s armband.
So, United will surely have had a keen eye watching how Amass and Fletcher fared but will also have been left wowed by the performance of their England teammate, the goalscorer, Crystal Palace’s Derry.
Manchester United should target Jesse Derry this summer
United have swooped to pinch some top talents from Premier League rivals over the past 12 months, such as Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi from Arsenal.
So it would make sense for this to happen again this summer, with Crystal Palace’s Derry one youngster United should sign as Jason Wilcox could repeat the Obi swoop.
Derry’s contract is due to expire, and according to The Athletic, he has no intention of renewing, which means he will likely move to a bigger club this summer.
The U21 forward has proved dominant at U18 level and appears to be in need of a step up, which United could be. Joining the nation’s best academy would be a smart career move.
