Dan Ashworth is lining up his next job after his embarrassing Newcastle United and Manchester United exits.
The 54-year-old has been out of work since December. That is when Dan Ashworth left Manchester United.
It was a staggering situation, after Man United tried so hard to snatch him away from Newcastle United.
They then got rid of him, with the Ashworth saga costing Man United £4.1million in total.

Dan Ashworth in talks for new job after Newcastle and Manchester United debacle
Following his old Trafford departure, Ashworth has been trying to find his next job. It was reported that Ashworth was in talks with Al-Nassr, who are owned by PIF like Newcastle United.
However, it looks like the Magpies’ old sporting director could be landing a more familiar role rather than heading to Saudi Arabia.
According to the Telegraph, Ashworth is in talks over a return to the FA.
They add that Dan Ashworth will be overseeing the FA’s recently announced St George’s Park 2.0 project if he is appointed.

He previously spent six years with the FA, operating as their director of elite development. Ashworth was widely praised for his role at the FA, and now he could be poised to return in a new capacity.
Ashworth was tipped to transform Newcastle United
Given his work with the FA and his time at Brighton, there was real excitement when Newcastle United appointed Dan Ashworth.
He felt like a very smart acquisition by Amanda Staveley and co, as they brought in someone who could build the Magpies into the club they were looking to become.
Ahead of his appointment, presenter Jake Humphrey stated on X (formally known as Twitter) that Ashworth would ‘transform’ Newcastle United.
There was a real buzz, while the Magpies dedicated a lot of time towards bringing him to St James’ Park.
That is why it was such a surprise that Ashworth decided to leave Newcastle United and take up Man United’s offer.
That proved to be a mistake, with his reputation taking a battering.
However, it was recently reported by Sky Sports’ Pete Graves that Ashworth was highly regarded at Newcastle, having created a structure behind the scenes that would allow the club to succeed.
That success has now arrived, with Newcastle United winning the Carabao Cup and ending their trophy drought.
