The New York Giants are one of multiple teams in need of a quarterback at the top of the NFL draft. With the third overall pick, as long as one of Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders is available, there seems no reason to not take one of them.
In fact, Adam Schefter predicts the team would draft a quarterback even if they signed veteran QB Russell Wilson to join Jameis Winston.
If the team were to gather all three quarterbacks in the QB room, it would make for one of the most fascinating and entertaining group of quarterbacks on one team, especially if the team drafted Deion Sanders's son third overall.

As fun as it would be, the move to roster three quarterbacks that are capable of starting would be an interesting one. Wilson would likely sign to be the starter, but Sanders as a rookie would be his mentee.
Winston also can serve as a mentor quarterback for Sanders, but is a bit less experienced and more erratic of a quarterback than Wilson.
At 36 years old and with a Super Bowl victory under his belt, Wilson seems like an ideal mentor for a young quarterback. However, Winston at 31 years old and a former number one pick can also serve as an interesting mentor.
The plan for the Giants could be to sign both to be mentors, and have all three compete for the starting job, and potentially keep one of Winston or Wilson.
That could amount to a lot of money in the quarterback room, however, with Winston signing a two-year, $8 million deal. It seems more likely the team is committed to Winston as a veteran, and will keep young undrafted QB Tommy DeVito as third string with a chance to make the roster.
No matter what the Giants decide to do for the rest of the offseason, the team's quarterback room seems to be in better shape than it was last season as of now, with a chance to be even better by the start of the season.
The key factor is the Giants may not like any quarterback at three if Sanders goes second overall to the Cleveland Browns. That could mean signing Russell Wilson makes more sense to have two options to try and approach a winning record next season.
No matter who the Giants acquire at quarterback for next season, their roster is shaping out to be a more entertaining and interesting team, even if it isn't the best on paper.
