Sugawara Wanted By Italian Giants

Southampton are already resigned to losing one full back in the summer, with the departure of Kyle Walker-Peters at the end of his contract, not it seems that they could also be losing another.

Kyle Walker- Peters will leave St Mary's in the summer at the end of his contract after 5 years at the club, although he will leave for free, no one can really deny that Saints haven't got their monies worth.

With rumours that Walker-Peters might have left last summer rife, Southampton signed Yuri Sugawara as his potential replacement and although he initially shone, he like most of those around him soon struggled as the team slipped from one crisis to another.

Now according to football-italia-net that renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is claiming that Italian club Roma have Yuri Sugawara on their target list for the summer window.

That may divide opinion with Saints fans, but whilst the Japanese International has not exactly been consistent in the premier League, he could well find his feet in the Championship and that was some comfort to Saints supporters who were thinking that Sugawara would be a decent replacement for the departing KWP.

If Saints were to let Sugawara depart then they would most likely demand a much higher fee than the £6 million that they paid back in July, they got him at a markdown and his current value is nearer £12 million at the moment.

With 3 years still left on his contract Saints are not under pressure to sell, the big question and one that needs to be solved for many in the squad before they make up their minds where they will play next season, is who will be manager ?

The vibes coming out of St Mary's are that many are not happy with Ivan Juric and that is who many supporters believe that Juric should be relieved of his duties now, before he does irreparable damage to the squad moral.

One of those that mighe well be happy is Sugawara who has found himself on the bench more often than in the starting line up since the turn of the year and has completed 90 minutes just once in the Premier League since the arrival of Juric.
