Everton fans are looking forward to the summer, with many changes likely to happen.
The Friedkin Group completed their takeover of Everton in December but so far, we’ve only really seen a measured approach from the new owners.
The biggest decision they have made came in early January when they replaced Sean Dyche with David Moyes.
That has proven to be a masterstroke, and fans will hope to see more savvy calls from the Americans as the club prepares for its new era.
This summer, Everton will be very busy in the transfer market.
A number of players are out of contract, and some won’t return after their loan spells.
The squad needs strengthening if Everton are to finish in the top half of potentially push for European football in 2025/26.
So time will be need, but there’s only possible rule change in the offing that could make things a bit more frantic than Everton need them to be.

According to a report from The Telegraph, an early closure of the summer transfer window is set to be proposed.
A meeting will take place in Thursday, where Premier League clubs will decide.
The proposal is for the window to be closed on August 14 – which is two days before the 2025/26 season starts.
In order for this to pass, a super-majority of 14 will be required.
Traditionally, clubs have been able to buy and sell players up to August 31 and sometimes a couple of days after.
But late deals that happen once the season has already started may become a thing of the past if the motion is voted for.
The motion is set to go too a vote. However if preliminary discussions between owners and chief executives reveal little support for the idea, then it may be stopped pre-vote.
Why Everton may vote against early transfer deadline motion
It will be interesting to see if clubs do vote on this motion, and which way Everton will go.
It is perhaps a logical thing for all transfer business to be concluded before a new season begins.
However, Everton have a huge amount of work to do this summer with so many players set to leave and lots of strengthening needing to be done.
An earlier transfer deadline may not be in the best interests of David Moyes, The Friedkin Group or the new director of football when they come in.
It is set to be a frantic summer anyway, so shortening the window could mean a chaotic first summer window for TFG ahead of the club finally moving into Bramley-Moore Dock.
