Preview, Squad List, Team News: Arsenal vs. Real Madrid; UEFA Women’s Champions League 2025

Preview

Real Madrid face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinals.

Las Blancas came victorious in the first leg, held at Alfredo Di Stefano, with the result 2-0. Linda and Athenea were the goal scorers in this encounter. In the meantime, Arsenal won against Liverpool last Saturday with a comfortable 4-0 result at the Emirates. Real Madrid played El Clásico a day later, winning 1-3 against Barcelona on Montjuïc.

It’s a similar squad list to the weekend game. Sofía, Laia, Noe, Elsa, and Irune join the squad from the B team, while Chavas is still unavailable due to an unknown reason. Antonia had a fright against Barcelona, but it stayed only a fright as she has traveled with the team.

“We want to balance tomorrow, so obviously we’re aware of Real Madrid’s threat as well. But we know what we need to do tomorrow, so we’ll try to make the right decisions, and we have a lot of quality in the squad, both from a starting and a finishing perspective,” said Renée Slegers in the pre-match press conference.

Kickoff is on Wednesday, March 26th, at 21:00 CET (20:00 GMT - local time) at the Emirates Stadium. The broadcast will be available for free on the DAZN Women’s Football YouTube channel.
