Big Brothers Big Sisters of east central Wisconsin launches “Big Draft” Campaign with Green Bay Packers’ Mark Murphy

NEENAH, Wis. (WBAY) - As the NFL prepares to draft its next generation of star players, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wisconsin is launching its own “Big Draft” to recruit the next generation of mentors.

Backed by Mark Murphy, President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers, this statewide initiative aims to “scout” 700 new mentors to help champion and empower Wisconsin’s youth.

The Big Draft Campaign draws clear ties to the excitement of the NFL Draft while shining a spotlight on the urgent need for more mentors across the state.

Just as NFL teams look for first-round picks to transform their rosters, Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for individuals ready to step up and make a life-changing impact.

“Are you up to the challenge of being a first-round pick?” Murphy encourages community members to consider. “The need for mentors is greater than ever, and every one of us has the potential to be a game-changer for a young person.”

Currently, over 100 youth are on the Big Brothers Big Sisters waitlist in East Central Wisconsin, eagerly waiting for someone to step up and make a difference.

“These kids are ready for a mentor, someone to champion them, support their dreams, and help them reach their full potential,” said Jaime Kriewaldt, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Wisconsin. “The Big Draft is about answering that call and stepping up for our community’s future.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides mentoring relationships that help children build confidence, set goals, and reach their full potential.

Currently, thousands of kids in Wisconsin are waiting to be matched with a Big. The Big Draft campaign invites community members to _“join the roster”_ and sign up to be a mentor.
