The Miami Heat finally snapped their 10-game losing streak with a win over the Charlotte Hornets, 122-105, on Sunday.
Andrew Wiggins scored 42 points, the most by any Heat player this season, to lead the squad, while Tyler Herro chipped in 29 points. Miami improved to 30-41.
It has been a tough campaign for the Heat, which was further muddled by the controversial exit of Jimmy Butler. He recently intimated that the highly touted "Heat culture" is overrated.
After their win over the Hornets, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra remained defiant that they could still turn things around with just a few weeks before the playoffs.
"I don't think we're going to take it for granted how difficult sometimes it could be to win in this league, and we experienced everything in this organization, I do think our guys should enjoy this one," said Spoelstra in a report from ClutchPoints' Zachary Weinberger.
"You know how we're wired. We'll get ready for the next one, but the untold story will be the fact that we've been playing good basketball and we've been playing better. We can see there's been an improvement."
The Heat are holding on to the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference, which would give them a berth in the Play-In Tournament.
The 54-year-old Spoelstra, who has led Miami to two titles, is widely regarded as one of the best tacticians in the NBA. He's made the most out of the cards dealt to him over the years even though they're not as star-laden as other squads.
"If we can just continue to do this and turn these into wins, we think that we can be a dangerous team," added Spoelstra.
