After visiting both the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants in recent weeks, former Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has made a decision on his playing future.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, "The Giants and Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $21 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed. The 10-time Pro-Bowl selection had been in discussions with the Giants, Browns and Steelers, but is opting for New York."

Wilson started 11 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024, totaling 2,482 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has accumulated 46,135 passing yards, 350 passing touchdowns, and 111 interceptions in his illustrious career.
Wilson began his college career at NC State before transferring to Wisconsin for his senior season. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round (No. 75 overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. During his 10 seasons in Seattle, Wilson made nine Pro Bowl Appearances, won Super Bowl XLVIII, and was named the 2020 Walter Payton Man of the Year.
In 2022, Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos in exchange for quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a 2022 fifth-round selection.
Although he improved in his second year under head coach Sean Payton, his time in Denver is generally seen as a massive failure. Wilson went from being considered one of the league's top quarterbacks to becoming just another guy.
In New York (East Rutherford, New Jersey, to be exact), Wilson is expected to compete with recently signed Jameis Winston for the starting quarterback position. Given that he received more guaranteed money, the former Broncos quarterback is the leader in the clubhouse.
