HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A former NBA star will be making his way to the Tennessee Valley this summer.
We aren’t talking about practice here, this is the real deal.
Allen Iverson will be the featured guest for the 2025 Leaders and Legends dinner supporting the Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama.
Iverson, who played a total of 14 seasons in the NBA, including the Philadelphia 76ers, is taking his skills off the court to inspire the next generation.
Organizers said the yearly fundraiser is just one way the community’s impact is revealed.
“So one of our big things is giving back, you know, the community supports us and it’s important for us to give back to the community,” said Matt Neyer, managing partner of Hiley Mazda of Huntsville. “It’s part of our DNA, it’s who we are.”
The event will be on July 10 with a silent auction at 5 p.m. followed by the dinner at 6 p.m.
