On February 16, 2025, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei called on President of Kuwait’s Supreme Judicial Council and President of the Court of Cassation Dr. Adel Majed Bouresli.
Ambassador Zhang briefed Dr. Adel on the historic achievements of China’s rule of law since it entered the new era. He stressed that law-based governance is a fundamental strategy for the Communist Party of China in leading the people to govern the country, adding that the rule of law provides important safeguards for Chinese modernization. China-Kuwait relations are now at its best period in history, with cooperation deepened across various fields. China stands ready to strengthen exchanges with Kuwait in the judicial sector to deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
For his part, Dr. Adel commended China for its remarkable achievements in the rule of law. He said Kuwait hopes to further deepen judicial cooperation with China and learn from China’s good practices in improving its judicial system and law-based governance, in order to realize common development through mutual learning.
