This week’s international break saw several Liverpool stars take centre stage for their national teams.
From youth fixtures to high-profile World Cup qualifiers, the Reds were well represented across the globe. While some players had limited involvement, others made headlines with goals, assists, and standout performances.
One of the biggest talking points came from South America. Argentina cruised past Brazil with a dominant 4-1 win, and it was Alexis Mac Allister who added to the scoreline.
The Liverpool midfielder scored Argentina’s third goal and stayed on the pitch for 76 minutes. His contribution helped cap off a memorable night in Estadio Monumental.
Just as fast and exciting was Luis Diaz’s performance for Colombia. The winger got off the mark in stunning fashion, scoring inside the first 40 seconds against Paraguay.
He cut in from the left and placed his shot beautifully into the top left corner. Diaz played the full game as the match ended 2-2.

Young Reds and senior stars impress across the board including Mohamed Salah
Elsewhere, Darwin Nunez came off the bench for Uruguay and played nearly the entire second half in a goalless draw against Bolivia.
Mohamed Salah also featured for the full match, helping Egypt secure a narrow 1-0 win over Sierra Leone in World Cup qualifying.
In Asia, Wataru Endo completed 74 minutes in Japan’s 0-0 draw with Saudi Arabia, staying solid in midfield.
Among the younger Reds, Rio Ngumoha was the standout. The 17-year-old scored twice and provided an assist in England U17s’ 5-0 win over Northern Ireland. It was a lively display that showed his potential on a bigger stage.
Curtis Jones earned his fourth senior cap for England, coming on for the final 15 minutes in their 3-0 win against Latvia.
Harvey Elliott started for England U21s in a 4-2 victory over Portugal. Meanwhile, James McConnell and Trey Nyoni played an hour each in a 2-2 draw with Switzerland.
From youth prospects to experienced internationals, Liverpool players made their presence felt across continents this break.
