Rams End Top-Ranked WR’s Free Fall in Latest NFL Mock Draft

Less than two months into the 2025 NFL offseason, the Los Angeles Rams have already completely revamped their receiving corps. After releasing 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp and letting Demarcus Robinson, their leader in receiving touchdowns last season, walk in free agency, the Rams have been at work in retooling for this upcoming fall.

Los Angeles had already signed All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to a two-year deal to line up alongside rising star Puka Nacua, but a recent NFL.com mock draft indicates that the Rams may not be done just yet in their offensive overhaul.

In his latest 2025 mock-up, NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks has LA selecting Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan with the 26th overall pick in this year's first round. McMillan has previously been slated as an early-to-mid first round pick by a variety of outlets, but Brooks has him sliding all the way down to the Rams at the end of day one.

In his junior season with the Wildcats, McMillan reeled in 84 catches for 1319 yards and eight touchdowns en route to First-team All-American honors from the Associated Press. The 6-foot-4, 219-pound Hawaii native has been singled out for his size and playmaking abilities, with his NFL.com scouting profile denoting his "elite ball skills" as one of his primary strengths.

McMillan's prospect grade currently sits at a 6.40, meaning the expectation is he "will become [a] good starter within two years." Assuming this projected range becomes a reality, the Arizona standout would be able to sit and learn behind Adams, a dynamic playmaking receiver himself, before taking over as one of LA's go-to guys for the foreseeable future.
