The New York Knicks were at home at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday as they hosted the struggling Dallas Mavericks.
New York had a strong start to the game as they led Dallas by two at the end of the first quarter and they were then able to use a massive third quarter in which they outscored the Mavericks 30-16 to close out the 128-113 victory.
This was a much-needed win as the Knicks had lost six of their last 10 contests heading into Tuesday's matchup and they were able to take care of an extremely shorthanded Mavericks team.
OG Anunoby led the way for the Knicks as he recorded 35 points and five rebounds in the victory.
While Anunoby led the way, it was Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart who stole the show on Tuesday night as they both recorded a triple-double.
Towns recorded 26 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists while Hart added 16 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists of his own as they led the Knicks to their second consecutive victory.
With both Towns and Hart recording a triple-double on Tuesday, they made franchise history as the first pair of Knicks teammates to record a triple-double in the same game.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart are now the first pair of Knicks teammates in franchise history to record a triple-double in the same game.

This is an impressive feat for the duo and one that is also very surprising with the number of great players the Knicks have had throughout their long history in the NBA.
Of course, Towns' addition to the team in the offseason has been a great one thus far as the Knicks are currently third in the Eastern Conference standings.
Hart has also played a key role in New York's success this season as he continues to put together one of the best seasons of his career.
New York will now look to pick up another victory on Wednesday when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on the second night of a back-to-back.
