Pistons Make 4-Word Statement Following Victory Over Spurs

The Detroit Pistons entered Tuesday night's home matchup against the San Antonio Spurs looking to pick up another victory and that is exactly what they were able to do.

Detroit dominated Tuesday's game right out of the gate and they used a monster second quarter in which they outscored the Spurs 30-12 to complete the 122-96 victory.

This marked the Pistons' 41st victory of the season and also gave them back-to-back wins after they took down the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.

Of course, the Pistons were without their superstar point guard Cade Cunningham in Tuesday's game but it did not matter as some key players stepped up to lead them to victory.

Marcus Sasser led the way for the Pistons as he scored a career-high 27 points off the bench on 9-12 shooting from the field and 5-7 shooting from three-point range.

Tobias Harris added 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists of his own while Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson both scored 14 points in the victory.

Devin Vassell and Stephon Castle led the way for the Spurs as they scored 26 and 19 points respectively in the loss.

After the victory, the Pistons made a four-word statement on social media.

"Took care of business," Detroit posted on X after Tuesday's victory.

Of course, the Pistons have had a great season thus far and Tuesday's win now ties them with the Milwaukee bucks for fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.

Despite this, the Bucks own the tiebreaker with them receiving the terrible news of Damian Lillard being out indefinitely due to a blood clot, the Pistons may be in prime position to jump them in the standings before the playoffs begin.

Detroit will now look to extend their winning streak to three games on Friday when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers in a game that they hope Cunningham can return in.
