Tuesday night's matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat was a highly anticipated one but it was never really close.
Of course, Tuesday's game marked the first trip to Miami for Jimmy Butler since he was traded from the Heat to the Warriors at the NBA trade deadline.
Butler heard it from the fans all night as there was a mixture of cheers and boos and the Heat were able to pick up the dominant 112-86 victory over the Warriors, spoiling Butler's return to Miami.
Miami jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Warriors struggled mightily with their star point guard Stephen Curry still sidelined due to a pelvic contusion.
Bam Adebayo led the way for the Heat as he recorded 27 points and eight rebounds while Tyler Herro added 20 points and seven assists of his own in the victory.
Jonathan Kuminga led the way for the Warriors as he scored 15 points off the bench while Brandin Podziemski added 14 points of his own in the loss.
Butler struggled in his return to Miami as he recorded just 11 points and six rebounds while shooting 5-12 from the field.
After their victory, the Heat posted a cryptic six-word statement on social media.
"Dub going up… on a Tuesday," Miami posted on X after Tuesday's victory.

While the post seems like a normal one for the Heat, it could also be seen as a shot at the Warriors as they used "Dub" in reference to the Warriors' nickname of "Dubs".
Of course, there was bound to be a shot taken between the Heat and Warriors thanks to Butler's return to Miami and the Heat finished the game as the much better and more efficient team in the contest.
Despite this, the Warriors were without Curry and the rest of their roster struggled shooting the ball in the game, but it was a massive win for the Heat who have struggled recently.
Golden State will now look to bounce back from Tuesday's loss on Friday when they take on the New Orleans Pelicans on the road.
