NBA Reacts to Steph Curry’s Postgame Handshake With Andrew Wiggins

The Golden State Warriors suffered their second straight loss on Tuesday night. It came in embarrassing fashion, too, as they ended up being utterly manhandled by the Miami Heat in a 112-86 blowout.

Warriors superstar Steph Curry was unable to take the floor in this one as the two-time NBA MVP sat out his second straight game due to a pelvic injury. Curry was on the bench supporting his team, though, and he also made sure to greet one of his former teammates after the final buzzer.

Curry shared a moment with ex-Warriors star Andrew Wiggins after the game. Wiggins was shipped off to Miami in February as part of the Jimmy Butler blockbuster trade. This was the first time Wiggins faced off against his former team, and Curry made sure to give Wiggins a big hug after the battle.

It was a special moment between two former teammates, and even the NBA had to react to the same.

"STEPH x WIGGINS," the league posted on X.

The NBA also posted a video of Wiggins interacting with his other former Warriors teammates after the game, which included Draymond Green, Moses Moody and Brandin Porziemski. Clearly, there's a lot of love for Wiggins among his ex-teammates.

The same cannot be said for Butler, though, who decided to immediately head back to the locker room after the blowout loss without greeting his former Heat teammates. It is unclear if there is some bad blood between Butler and the Miami players, but the fact of the matter is that the way Butler handled his first game against his former team is much different from how Wiggins' reunion went.
