NFL free agency took a big turn on Tuesday after it was announced that Russell Wilson had agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the New York Giants. The contract is reportedly worth up to $21 million and includes $10.5 million of guaranteed money.
According to reports, Wilson had discussions with his now-former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as the Cleveland Browns, but the 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback ultimately chose New York as his new home.
This only means that Wilson will need to uproot his family from Pittsburgh as they move to the NFC. Wilson's wife, Ciara, took to Instagram on Tuesday night to share her reaction to her husband's big career decision.
The R&B icon sent a strong message to Wilson ahead of their big move.
"New York State of Mind! My greatest inspiration @dangerusswilson ," she wrote, posting an image of Wilson in a New York Yankees uniform.

Fittingly, Ciara also used Jay-Z's hit track "Empire State of Mind" for her post. It is clear that the Grammy Award-winning singer is also excited about the move to New York.
Wilson's decision marks his return to MetLife Stadium, which is where the 36-year-old QB won the Vince Lombardi trophy in Super Bowl 48 with the Seattle Seahawks. This time around, however, Wilson has made MetLife Stadium his permanent home -- at least for the next year.
