On March 25, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei met with Joint Secretary of the East Asia Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India Gourangalal Das, who was in China for the 33rd Meeting of Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC) on China-India Border Affairs.
