On February 17, 2025, Ambassador Zhang Jianwei called on Kuwait’s Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar. Hu Hanming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, was also present at the meeting.
Ambassador Zhang briefed Omar on China’s latest achievements in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector, highlighting the fruitful outcomes of practical cooperation between China and Kuwait. He expressed China’s willingness to further expand and deepen bilateral cooperation in the ICT sector, support Kuwait in achieving “Kuwait Vision 2035” and give substance to our strategic partnership.
For his part, Omar stated that China has been one of the most advanced countries in information technology. He expressed Kuwait’s desire to learn from China’s valuable development experience and keep deepening ICT cooperation between the two sides, so as to deliver greater tangible benefits to the two peoples.
