Telecommunications and broadband services provider PT&T Corp. and its partner Netlinkz Ltd. Australia are investing millions of dollars to put up a lab in the country to localize the Australian tech firm’s cybersecurity solution.

SecureLink Networks Inc., the joint venture between PT&T and Netlinkz, launched on March 25 Virtual Secured Network Plus ([VSN+](https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/scitech/technology/937685/secured-connectivity-vsn-to-launch-in-ph/story/)).

VSN+, a cybersecurity and networking solution developed by Netlinkz, was described as a “military-grade encryption” and “software-defined networking” aimed at providing real-time threat protection, continuous monitoring, and seamless integration, enabling organizations to scale securely without the need for heavy infrastructure investments.

“We intend to localize the technology, so we will be deploying a lab in Manila to help us develop the VSN+ further and to localize the VSN+,” Netlinkz CEO and SecureLink chairman James Tsiolis said in a chance interview with reporters.

“We're establishing a lab… that will be a multi-million dollar investment for us,” Tsiolis said, adding that its partner PT&T is already engaging with local development firms “to establish that lab here” and Philippine authorities to “license the technology.”

For his part, PT&T president and SecureLink co-founder James Velasquez likewise said, “We're looking at further investment because… we're actually looking at bringing the solution from a development standpoint to the Philippines.

Velasquez added that SecureLink is targeting to finish the establishment of the cybersecurity lab “this year,” which will be located within PT&T’s Makati office

“VSN+ is not just a product—it’s our bold response to the growing threats in an interconnected world. With Australia’s cutting-edge tech and PT&T’s local expertise, we’re providing secure, scalable, and future-ready solutions for businesses and the government,” Velasquez said.

Tsiolis said that SecureLink’s VSN+ solution would be “our way of safeguarding digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia.”

“With PT&T as our partner, we aim to transform how cybersecurity is delivered in the region,” Tsiolis said. **—VAL, GMA Integrated News**
