Manchester City and Manchester United are set to face off for the same player this summer it seems.
Pep Guardiola needs to make some big changes to his Manchester City squad this summer, and the same can be said for Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
The Man City manager has seemingly allowed complacency to set in at The Etihad this season, and that’s simply unacceptable.
It could actually be argued that the rot began 20 months ago, with the likes of Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes joing Manchester City.
Now there will be a very big clear-out at The Etihad in the summer, with as many as eight players being sold or released in a bid to raise close to £200 million at Man City.

However, the most important thing for Pep will be to add a couple of real game-changers to his squad in the summer transfer window.

He should be well capable of doing just that, but Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim could be about to throw a real spanner in the works.
Manchester City and Manchester United eyeing Trincao deal
Sporting CP star Trincao is firmly on the radars of both Manchester clubs it seems.
According to a report from A Bola, Man City and Man United are set for a head-to-head battle to sign the winger for £67 million this summer.
Incoming Manchester City Sporting Director Hugo Viana is said to be a huge fan of Trincao.
It really is little wonder why he and Pep might want to sign him.
During his time with Wolves, he was hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by The Athletic’s Tim Spiers.
Trincao is a match-winner, pure and simple. He has nine goals and 15 assists to his name in 43 games for Sporting this season (Transfermarkt).
He is a world-class technician and has the ability to change a game in an instant.
The Portugal international possesses incredibly tight ball control and is a huge threat when cutting in from the right hand flank onto his favoured left foot.
However, he can also play as a number 10 or out wide on the left.
Who could Trincao replace at Man City?
Jack Grealish seems like the winger most likely to leave The Etihad this summer.
However, the Englishman plays on the opposite wing to the Portuguese star.
Savinho is Man City’s only natural left-footed right winger, whilst Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku can all play out there as well.
If Manchester City are to beat Manchester United to Trincao this summer, you would expect that two of those five names will be moved on.
As things stand, the most likely exit from The Etihad will be Grealish. However, it’s very much up in the air regarding who else will be moved on in the summer.
