Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has already explained why he is "guaranteed" to be playing alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold next season. The Liverpool right-back has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this season, with the speculation ramping up over the last few days.
Alexander-Arnold's contract at Liverpool is set to run out at the end of the season as things stand. The Reds have been locked in talks with the full-back's representatives throughout the season as they hope to agree an extension for the club's vice captain.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Alexander-Arnold throughout the season, with reports emerging on Tuesday claiming that a deal to take the Liverpool academy graduate to the Santiago Bernabeu is on the verge of completion. The 26-year-old has been able to speak to clubs outside England since January 1, the same point he entered the final six months of his contract with the Reds.

Bellingham was also heavily linked with signing for Liverpool before he chose to join Madrid in the summer of 2023. Bellingham and Alexander-Arnold are friends off the pitch, which has fuelled the rumours that the Reds vice-captain could leave Anfield in favour of a move to the Spanish capital.
Bellingham spoke about the possibility of linking up with Alexander-Arnold in a Madrid shirt next season, where he refused to be drawn on the speculation that a move to Spain could be on the cards. The former Borussia Dortmund star explained, though, why he is "guaranteed" to play alongside the Liverpool defender next term in an England shirt.
"I'll be playing alongside him next season for England anyway. That will be a guarantee," said Bellingham in November last year ahead of Liverpool's clash against Madrid in the Champions League.
"But he's a Liverpool player and it would be disrespectful to come to his home today with a big game tomorrow and talk about something that could be misconstrued so it's important to take that pressure off him. I want him to do really well normally. Just not tomorrow [at Anfield]."
