Rangers are currently experiencing a period of change with a new takeover looming and uncertainty over the long-term managerial position.

It has been an underwhelming season at Ibrox with few aspects of it going to plan, leading to Philippe Clement being fired and Barry Ferguson taking over temporarily until the end of this season.

With the 49ers’ takeover looking likely, fans should be getting excited about potential signings and faces who could join the new project.

However, without a permanent manager, it is difficult for the club to start planning for the long term, and that could lead to players turning to other clubs instead.

Rangers set asking price for Nicolas Raskin

TEAMtalk has reported that Leeds United and Aston Villa are showing interest in Nicolas Raskin ahead of the summer transfer window, as they have been impressed with his performances this season.

Raskin has been a key player within the squad since he joined the Scottish giants in January 2023 from Standard Liege, playing 31 times last season.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and provided six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions so far this season, and Rangers are keen not to let him leave this summer.

It is understood that Rangers have set a £20million asking price for Raskin, who is currently under contract at Ibrox until 2027.

There are clubs within Germany and Italy also monitoring the Rangers midfielder, which could make it a difficult process to retain his services.

Rangers could be raided this summer

Raskin isn’t the only Rangers player that other clubs are showing interest in as the Gers prepare to be raided throughout the summer transfer window.

Hamza Igamane has impressed throughout this campaign and is now a target for Everton as David Moyes looks to start building his team together.

Rangers will also seek £20million for his services, as the club intends to turn as much profit as possible and potentially reinvest in the squad.

Nils Koppen has made it no secret that a buy and sell method is in place at Ibrox, so bringing in the money from big-name sales has to be expected.
