Liverpool will hope to have some major boosts to their squad after they return from the international break. The Reds have not been in action for more than a week with their last match coming in their defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.

Arne Slot and Co. will regroup with the Liverpool squad this week when the players return from featuring with their respective national teams. The Reds head coach will also be hoping that the squad will have avoided any extra injuries ahead of the Premier League run-in.

The summer transfer window is fast approaching and Liverpool may already have plans in place for when they hope to do when they are able to strengthen their squad. For the time being, the Reds have nine Premier League matches left to play where they are striving to win the league title.

April 2 is when Liverpool return to top-flight action when they host Everton at Anfield in the Merseyside derby. Some players are guaranteed to be ruled out for the fixture due to injury, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley all sidelined.

Alexander-Arnold suffered an injury in the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and is expected to be unavailable for several weeks. Slot has expressed hope that the right-back will feature again this season but has not given an exact timeframe for a return.

Gomez underwent surgery on a hamstring injury in February and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines but could return before the end of the season. Bradley is also unavailable with a hamstring injury and will be targeting a return before the end of the campaign.

Liverpool will also hope that Alisson Becker will be available when they face Everton, having suffered a head injury while featuring for Brazil. The Brazilian returned to Merseyside for further assessment, with his last match coming against PSG in the Champions League after Caoimhin Kelleher started the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle.

Ryan Gravenberch also withdrew from the Netherlands squad with a potential fitness concern. Gravenberch featured in the defeat to Newcastle at Wembley and Slot will hope to have the midfielder available for the clash against Everton next week.
