The List: Sweet Sixteen NBA prospects
If your bracket is busted, perhaps the remainder of the NCAA men’s tournament can be used as a scouting service. Who are the best NBA prospects still playing? Here is a Sweet Sixteen list of the players with the best pro potential:
1. Cooper Flagg, Duke: The 6-foot-9 forward is considered a franchise-changing prospect. The total package.
2. Khaman Maluach, Duke: The 7-2 center is just 18 years old and has some Rudy Gobert-like traits. That should be tempting.
3. Derik Queen, Maryland: The 6-10 center hit the buzzer-beater against Colorado State but was considered an elite passer and ballhandler, but his defense is suspect.
4. Jase Richardson, Michigan State: The son of former NBA player Jason Richardson is quite a shotmaker, but NBA scouts are sometimes hesitant about 6-foot-3 shooting guards.

5. Kon Knueppel, Duke: The 6-6 wing might be the draft’s best shooter. Wonder if that would interest anyone?
6. Carter Bryant, Arizona: The 6-8 wing projects positively in a variety of offensive metrics.
7. Egor Demin, Brigham Young: The 19-year-old Russian has had trouble making shots, but he’s quite a creator.
8. Isaiah Evans, Duke: The 6-8 wing looks like a smooth offensive force, though his chances with the Blue Devils’ loaded roster have been limited.
9. Danny Wolf, Michigan: The 7-foot center is not overly athletic and hasn’t shot great, but he’s got some ball skills.
10. J.T. Toppin, Texas Tech: The 6-9 forward hasn’t shown that he can be an outside shooter. Otherwise, he’s quite tempting as a rugged scrapper who can score a variety of ways.
11. Chaz Lanier, Tennessee: The 6-4 wing is 23 years old, which makes him ancient, but he can shoot, which makes him valuable.
12. Johni Broome, Auburn: The 6-10 center is a little undersized and a little old, 22. If he was 6-11 and 20, he might go in the top five. But Broome projects to help immediately.
13. Labaron Philon, Alabama: An excellent quarterback, the 6-4 point guard has yet to display much scoring skills.
14. Alex Condon, Florida: The 6-11 center has shown flashes of offensive explosion, which intrigues scouts.
15. Darrion Williams, Texas Tech: An all-around offensive game makes the 6-6 wing a potential first-rounder, though the second round is more likely.
16. Walter Clayton, Florida: A highly-skilled guard, the only knock on Clayton is he’s 6-foot-3 and 22 years old.
